Is now open.

As the name suggests, it was once a 1950s power station. It has now been refurbished and transformed in a centre for contemporary arts. I am not one who is greatly into the contemporary visual arts, but I am very excited at the opening of their theatre. While I do not mind travelling to the city, it can be a bit far at times -- particularly when I see evening performances and may not get home until around midnight. Being able to see productions of Shakespeare or musicals or other theatrical events, with the same cast and production team, much closer to home is surely a wonderful thing. And it is a great blessing for us in the south-west to be able to have access to these performances. I am off to book for Bell Shakespeare's As You Like It -- and while there I may also try and take in some of the exhibitions to broaden my horizons.

Well done to all involved in it. I do hope it proves a success for artists and lovers of the various arts, particularly those living in the south-west of Sydney.
