Troparion of the Myrrh-Bearing Women:
The angel stood by the tomb
and cried aloud to the ointment-bearing women:
"Myrrh is proper for the dead,
but Christ has shown that corruption does not belong to Him.
But cry, 'The Lord is Risen, granting to the world Great Mercy.'"
Troparion of St Joseph of Arimathea:
Noble Joseph, taking down Your pure body from the tree,
wrapped it in a clean linen cloth with spices,
and buried it, laying it in a new tomb.
But You did rise after three days, O Lord,
granting to the world Great Mercy.
