A wonderful evening of celebration tonight for a friend who will be off to Brisbane next year (:tear:) as a theological student. After a wondrous Evensong and Benediction service (with a mystifying sermon -- I'm not sure any of us got what the point was) we made our way to a nice pub for dinner, drinks, crème brûlée and maltesers. The hours passed as we chatted, laughed, drank, chatted and drank some more. And laughed. Plenty of laughter. A great evening.
The night before I was celebrating a friend's birthday with dinner at Darling Harbour. As we wished him 'Happy Birthday', fireworks exploded over the water for some unknown reason: very good timing, though.
A weekend of celebrations. Thankfully we have a public holiday here tomorrow so I can sleep in, though I think my current uni assignment will feature prominently -- especially given it is due on Thursday.
