The Liberal [who are conservative] and National parties have been returned with a greater majority. I'm a bit upset, but the majority has spoken -- so be it.

We moved our icons, books, cupboards, candles and more to our new hall after Liturgy today. I am a bit sore from it.

This afternoon I attended a wonderful choral programme put on by The Royal School of Church Music -- New South Wales Branch. Three friends of mine were involved in singing: two as part of the choir of St Francis Roman Catholic Church, Paddington, and one as part of the choir of St Mary the Virgin's Anglican Church, Waverley. In addition, one of her compositions was sung by the St Mary's choir: it was beautiful. Over coffee, biscuits and cakes I met a few other people from St Francis and St Mary. A wonderful afternoon indeed.

The evening before I found myself in the Shire again -- at a different friend's place to the one I visited earlier. I know two people who live in the Shire -- does that make me especially blessed? Apart from a small incident with an extremely spicy sausage [I cannot handle any chilli whatsoever], a great night was had by all. I got to meet a few new people and have a rollicking good time.

Life is good indeed!
