Thanks be to God.
This morning I completed my final assignment for this semester. We were given a model text and asked to analyse it. I greatly enjoyed this, but -- once again -- surpassed the word limit by no small amount. I threw 800 of the extra 1000 words I had written into appendices: sorry lecturer, but you'll have to read an extra 200 words in the main body of my work: I can't reduce it anymore. I'll take an extra long lunch and drop it off in a few hours.
A three month break from formal study lies open before me. I am tossing up between continuing my studies in German or taking the plunge and starting an introductory Arabic course. I'd like to continue my foreign language skills. I also have a great deal more reading and pondering to do in relation to Orthodoxy. There won't be, unlike when I did my undergraduate degree, one month of excitement followed by two months of boredom (three months is a long time): the three months will fly by.
Ulcer status: almost gone. Yippee!
