Wild weather hit New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania yesterday. From rain to dust storms, we seemed to have it all. Unfortunately, a school girl died when a gum tree fell and crushed the tent she and another girl were in. Lord, have mercy.

Tuesday night we were treated to a lightning storm that went for about four hours, with sheet and forked lightning lighting up the sky continually. Yesterday, we got more storms and plenty of heavy rain [I pray it may fill up our dams]: one lightning strike must've been so close to our house: the boom was deafening and the house shook and rattled.

My dog, whose name is Billie [for Miss Lisa and others who have enquired], once again got rather scared. She also needed to go to the toilet, but couldn't go out in that weather. We also had my sister's dog, Max, over, who -- as most boxers are -- is rather dumb and plodded along smiling and wanted to go outside.
