Yay's $5 trip to the movies reminded me of my last visit to the movies.
We paid $3 more than the usual price for the "Silverscreen", a cinema with larger and more comfortable seats, and the opportunity for you to buy alcohol, coffee, and food and snacks you generally can't buy at a standard Candy Bar to take in with you. It also had a rather nice waiting area, with Abbot and Costello movies screening. It was alright, but the most entertaining part was seeing some tourists from the British Isles take photos of themselves relaxing in the seats and standing in front of the screen! Who needs the Harbour Bridge and Opera House when you've got Macquarie Centre cinemas?
