The past few days have been a bit hectic, with my running around helping my grandmother move into her new home, helping out a bit more around the home as my mum is unwell, and enjoying a picnic with various friends as a farewell to three friends who are leaving for a year in London.
While it is an exciting time for them, and I remember well my excitement in July 2001 when I headed off to Dublin to work, it is also tinged with sadness. They are great friends who I will miss dearly -- one in particular I speak to almost daily, and those conversations will be missed.
Two are leaving this Thursday, and I'll be at the airport to shed a tear or two.
