A boost to my self-esteem

I received a Distinction for my first assignment: a very pleasant surprise. Thanks be to God!

Life plods on. I'm greatly missing my friend who has left for London. It's strange not being able to call her up on the way home for a chat. My other best friend lives in San José and I don't like to disturb him too often as he is recently married. But I have a great family and great friends, which I am thankful for. And my faith in God does provide some strength. I try and start each morning with The Trisagion Prayers which I find a help and a strength, and conclude them with a chanting of "Christ is risen from the dead!". The prayers of the Church are a great source of comfort.

My assessment was moved from last Monday to this Monday [9th] as my teacher was called away for a conference. I'm feeling a bit stressed, but after several chats, and the continued use of the anti-depressants, I'm feeling a bit better. Still nervous, still worried; but I'm sleeping better and getting through the day without too many tears. My manager has been very kind and said if I need to step outside during the day for a few moments now and again, that is fine. And she was very helpful in the conversation we had yesterday. God has been very gracious to me. I pray I may be more aware of this.
