As Jan at Shalom blogged several days ago, the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra-Goulburn has designated tomorrow [Sunday, June 12] as a day of prayer for rain.
As I blogged about several days ago, the situation is desperate indeed.
A fellow poster at Ship-of-Fools posted a prayer her RC church will be praying tomorrow:
LEADER: From your lofty abode you water the mountains; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your work.
ALL: Father we pray for those suffering from the effects of drought. Give them courage, cheerfulness and resilience to endure until the rains come.
In your great love answer us, O God.
