Today we remember the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council.

Most glorious are You, O Christ our God!
You have established the Holy Fathers as lights on the earth!
Through them You have guided us to the True Faith!
O greatly Compassionate One, glory to You!

The Apostles' preaching and the Fathers' doctrines have established one faith for the Church.
Adorned with the robe of truth, woven from heavenly theology,
It defines and glorifies the great mystery of Orthodoxy!

Thank you for your prayers regarding our parish. The Parish Council reported back with some wonderful news with their meeting with our Bishop: he has assured them he will not let our parish disappear and wants it to remain as an English-speaking mission parish. If we cannot get the funds to keep our present priest, Fr John, Bishop Paul will provide clergy, on a rotation basis at first, for us so we can continue to have our services. We still have a fair way to go, but the parish, and the Parish Council in particular, is being very proactive in getting us organised and informing us of the way forward. Thanks be to God!
