WISE Package Received

Thank you thank you thank you Joe! Love it.

[Unfortunately my digital camera is not feeling well, so the photos were taken with my mobile. I'll try and get some better pictures up in a few days].

My WISE surprise arrived yesterday. As I came home around 1am (after watching Shakespeare's Julius Caesar -- I'll blog about that later), I saw a parcel in the letter box and thought, "Could it be?" And it was.

A package full of wonders from Coventry. Information on the beautiful Coventry Cathedral and a wonderful drawing of the Altar of Reconciliation therein; information on and photographs of the Doom Mediaeval Doom Painting at Holy Trinity Church; two recipe books: Favourite Cake Recipes and Favourite Cotswold Recipes, which I'll be trying soon; and a wonderful chocolate bar from Coventry Cathedral which I'll be trying now -- YUM!

Thanks Joe! I adore visiting historic churches and finding out about their history, as well as looking at mediaeval religious paintings -- a perfect WISE package! And as I have a sweet tooth, new cakes to try are always welcomed. And given my limited cooking ability, I'll look forward to cooking some authentic Cotswold fare.
