[By the way, am I alone in wondering why Bourke is shown in the south-west of Sydney, when it's ~ 775 km NW of Sydney?]
Our church rents a hall at West Ryde. We were told that for seven consecutive weeks the hall was booked Saturday night and Vespers would be held at a church at Bankstown. I thought, without looking at the sheet we were given, that the move started this Saturday. I was wrong.

Given I arrived, due to my leaving home late and heavy traffic, at the Bankstown church at 18.45 [Vespers starts at 18.30], and guessing it would take at least 20 minutes [possibly more if the traffic was heavy] to get from Bankstown to West Ryde, I went home. I'm sure they'll be plenty of laughter tomorrow when I tell them. I'm fairly sure the Sunday services are still at West Ryde. ;-)

In terms of my silliness this week, you may remember my tomfoolery in the office earlier this week. Well, despite my strange behaviour at work, I was awarded "Employee of the Month" for the Operations section on Friday. And I received a $40 voucher to spend at Westfields [a shopping centre]. I'm quite happy. And it was completely unexpected. As I work in a small sub-section for management [there are only two of us non-managers: we were christened the SWAT team], I didn't think I was eligible. A very pleasant surprise, and a good feeling within me that I and my work are appreciated.
