The only book in the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series my library doesn't have. I am nearing the end of The Full Cupboard of Life [book 5] and -- as I have been -- I went on-line to reserve the next one in the series so I could be sure I had it ready and waiting for me at my local library. And found it was the only one in the series they don't have. I'm going to drop them an e-mail: perhaps it was stolen, I don't know, but I think they need to get it in.

Thankfully, I still have my library membership for Liverpool City Libraries, and a quick search on their website revealed a number of In the Company of Cheerful Ladies books waiting for me to borrow. At lunch I went down to the nearest branch to work and borrowed it.

I am loving this series of books: Alexander McCall Smith writes wonderfully; so wonderfully that he makes me feel as if I am there with Mma Ramotswe and her adventures in Botswana. They may be light reading, but they are truly enjoyable and entertaining reading.
