Every day I wake up and turn on the radio news: and it seems that things have got worse.
I have trouble comprehending it all. It is so hard to take it all in. Especially as it is the US. "Surely they'd be prepared and able to handle this," I think. But would we here? I doubt it. No-one could be ready for this.

As well as prayer, Christians must heed Christ's command to help those in need in a practical way. International Orthodox Christian Charities is the organisation I'm supporting, and many people have their preferred charity. May we help our brothers and sisters in need.
