In less than 24 hours I willl have handed in my final assignment, a research paper, for the academic year. I can almost feel the relief. Almost, as I am still not happy with my Abstract: I find it so very hard to condense my words down to the length required.
After a number of slight modifications and changes of direction, the oh-so-exciting topic of my research is "Project Management and Culture: The challenges of culturally-diverse teams in virtual global projects are outweighed by the benefits and opportunities presented." I have looked at the social benefits of virtual global projects [teams distributed across geographic regions] more than any economic ones, which are usually the drivers.
I have actually enjoyed the research for this assignment, as I did my previous one. Some very interesting findings, research and comments, on an area that does interest me. I am also rather happy I could take a social view in a technical stream: I'd be very hard-pressed to be motivated to research and write on overly technical matters. I truly am in the wrong industry.
Bring on 18:00 tomorrow.
