As im on my break at work i thought id share with you my good news. If your reading this mom or dad sorry i didnt mention it, but its not common knowledge at work yet so couldnt say it on the phone.
I feel like ive built it up now and although its great its not brilliant lol . Anyway i had a pay review and im now on about 70p more per hour effective of monday. Now i know that doesnt seem much but it now means im finally on more money than when i was at Blockbuster as an assistant manager yeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Also ive been picked to be Employee of the month so i get £30 in gift vouchers so all in all a good day. All topped off that i get picked up from work at 8pm by my wonderful husband who will have already cooked my tea.
On a more serious note i cant believe what is happening in the UK at the moment. I tend to click onto BBC News thoughout the day as i dont have a paper and read about the mini tornado in Birmingham. Now although i get teased about being a Brummie when im actually from the Black country, it still is quite close to my parents so i gave them a ring to see how the weather was holding up there and if they were ok. They were both ok and it had just rained loads for about an hour. Its been really dark here in Sheffield so it also got me wondering if it was moving its way up north. It also reminded me of the Earthquake we had in Dudley a couple of years back as we felt it at my parents house.
Its all getting very scary isnt it? I know bad things have always happened in our world over the years but it just seems like its all so close to home at the moment. The chances of opening up BBC news and reading about nothing but good things is something that i dont think will ever happen, but i wish there were atleast a few things. Saying that though, sometimes it feels wierd reading about all the bombings in London and then the next article to click on is about the Oscar's It just makes it all very bizarre, but i supose its a case of lives are to be lived and you need to make the most of every day. So although there is so much pain and hurt in our world we have to be thankful and feel blessed for the things that make us smile, laugh and feel loved and to not be afraid of enjoying those times.
Blimey i didnt think this post would get so serious and i hope it hasnt come across silly, naive or offensive.
