I did try and post over christmas but i kept getting distracted and now i have another long post to do.
Christmas eve we had some friends round for mince pies and mulled wine. We also had pressies for eachother so we were able to swap them. The plan was that me and JT was going to midnight mass, but we then realised we had both had a drink, so although we could have got a lift there, we would have to have walked back so we didnt go.
Christmas morning we opened up our silly stocking fillers which had presents from the pound shop in them. We then went to church and once back at home we opened the rest of our pressies and had a wonderful relaxing day together. We had even prepared all the food the day before so didnt even have loads to do with that either. JT did a fab lunch of chicken with stuffing inside and bacon on top, plus loads of veggies etc. It was so nice to totally relax, but we ended up exaused and was asleep by 10.30pm lol
Boxing day it was also just the two of us and again we managed to rest and take a really slow pace. I didnt sleep very well that night as i had swollen gums and a painful ulcer on just the inside of my lip (nice). Its all gone now though so that is good.
On the 27th we had JTs family for the day. We had a wonderful Gammon joint and we had a nice walk round Sheffields botanical gardens. They all left about 7.30 so after we tidied up we slobbed for the rest of the evening.
On the 28th my parents were arriving. We managed to misjudge the time they were arriving though so were still 5 mins away in the car when we got a phone call to ask where we were. We both felt so bad as they had made the long journey to visit. They were both good about it though and we still managed to have a fantastic time. It was great to have them visit and we even played the DVD version of who wants to be a millionaire.
My parents left on the afternoon of the 29th and we then went out for a drive and back to the sales. JT got a new suit and i managed to get a new bag and some sun glasses. They had marked them wrong so instead of just being half price off, i got my bag for £5 and my sunglasses for only £1. hoorah!!!!!
On the 30th we had some friends round for lunch which was really nice and then new years eve me and E was cooking a meal for JT and J at their house. It was a nice relaxing evening and got to bed about 1ish.
The next day JT was opening and closing church so we headed to church on new years day. We popped back to J & E's briefly to pick up our stuff and have a drink with others and then we headed back home for the rest of the day.
Yesturday we popped to the shops briefly as i wanted a trip to hobby craft to buy some beads etc to make my own napkin rings and we also had a bit of a drive and popped out for some tea.
Its been really nice having the week off and me and JT having lots of time to relax.
Its back to work today. It feels like ive been off for ages but its been good to catch up with everyone.
