I went for a job at work to be our boss's PA. She mentioned it to me before christmas. The interview went well but i didnt get it. I also finally got round to booking another driving test last friday. JT as been taking me out in the car as i was having my test in it. Again for the 5th time i didnt pass. Very annoying as it was a silly mistake again that let me down. I have another one booked for the 8th Feb though so hopefully i pass that time.
Our current small group finished at christmas, so me and JT have been praying about where we are to be next. JT used to be in one a few years back and we have decided to give that one a go. The actual cluster is based in the area we live in. There are lots of married folk with young kids and some slightly older people and a few people who are single. It was a shared lunch on sunday so we popped along after church. It was really nice and we were really made to feel welcome. Its such a big church we attend so its nice to be able to know a few more people.
I have lived in Sheffield for over a year now and made some really good friends, but as we were away alot last year it has been a bit difficult getting to know people at church apart from the ones JT works with. This year we have decided to make it a priority to be at home more weekends so that we can really get involved in church life. That doesnt mean we are never going to visit people, but we are making this a priority for the time being.
We will still see our parents just the same though as we wouldnt like that to change at all.
This week is going to be another relaxing week. I was convinced we were at my parents this weekend but its the week after, so we now are going to try and get some stuff done round the house. I am also at the cinema this week and hopefully we can get back on track with badminton. We went last thursday and they hadnt started our block booking again. It should have been done last week as we only had december off. Hopefully they havnt gave it to someone else as that was the main day we have all been free to do.
