I had been trying to get in lots of driving practice ready for my next test. One of the things i wanted to focus on was speed. I find it really difficult to show that im capable of doing over 30 on a 40+ road. When the roads are bendy i feel safer sticking to 30. This said i was really suprised yesturday that on my 6th attempt as a test i failed on speeding. I was on a road which i thought was a 40 road and so was doing round about 35. It turns out that it was only a 30. The other thing i failed on was that i came up to a junction too quickly. It now means as my theory runs out on saturday i will have to take my theory again before being able to take another test. I have my theory next tuesday so hopefully if i pass that again i could be in for another test within a couple of weeks hoorah!
I have found out some great news this morning though. My friend Sue from Walsall has been living in Nottingham for the last year or so doing nursing. She confirmed this morning that she has got a new job in Chesterfield so we will be living really close to eachother and will be able to meet up for coffee etc.
Other great news is that the new small group we have started at is brilliant. The folks are really friendly and genuinly seem happy to include new people in their group. We also have a cluster lunch twice a month which again is really nice to get to know them all better. I have even started up helping with the under 5s work which has been really lovely. i will be doing that on the first sunday in every month.
A couple of weeks ago we went to my parents for the weekend. it was really nice and fantastic to catch up with them. My dad took us to Brum to show JT some of the sights etc. My dad is involved with a local cricket club and on the friday night we went to the late christmas meal. Apart from going to brum on the saturday day we spent the rest of saturday at my parents so we could spent the time relaxing with them.
This weekend we are at a family wedding in Cambridge. One of JTs cousins is getting married so that will be a nice weekend although im not looking forward to the traveling.
JT is continuing which his physio. He is still in pain with his back but its mainly his stomach. We cant believe that its taking so long to heal as the car itself didnt really have much damage to it. Hopefully some more time at the physio will get it sorted.
We are also starting to spend time on updating more the house. The biggest job is going to be a small extention on the back of the house which is very exiting. Im being very girly and deciding on colours etc which is fantastic.
