Last friday i was all booked in to have my driving test at 8.40am. As this was going to be my 7th <blush> attempt i really wanted to make sure i passed. That morning there was snow but as we are quite high up i wasnt sure if there would be much snow by the test centre so i gave them a ring. The bloke was just having a drive round to check the roads so i had to ring back about 20past. As it would then be only 20mins to the time of my test we decided to make our way to the test centre. We were about half was there when i rang back to be told that the roads in places were too slippy so they were cancelling the first tests of the day. I have got another one booked for free though and that is next friday on the 10th March.
Me and JT were both finishing work about lunch time on friday as we were heading to my parents for the weekend. We were going to be earlier at my parents than we all thought so we decided to go to the denby factery shop in Derby to get a new dinner service. We managed to get everything we wanted apart from the mugs all at 75% off which was fab.
We got to my parents about 6.30ish and spent a nice relaxing evening with them. On saturday we didnt do much as we were at a wedding at 3pm. It was a couple of friends of mine from Walsall. The lad is someone i mentioned a while back as the lad i went out with for a week. We are brilliant as friends but both realised as a couple we were rubbish lol. The service was lovely and Rachel looked stunning in her dress. They had a colour theme of a shiny aqua. Not sure if that gives it justice, but it really was competely stunning. The service was at a beautifull hall in Birmingham so that was a bit of a treck to get to, but it was a great reception. The speaches were a little dodgy but it was a beautiful day.
On the sunday we made it to the 9am service and then spent the rest of the day back at my parents, which was really nice to relax and spend time with them both.
On monday it was badminton as usual. For some reason we decided to be more enigetic and all managed to spent the 45mins darting round the court and all started to get a bit sweaty. It felt great though and really felt like we had done a proper sports session. I dont know if it was my competitive side as i was playing with two blokes.
When i got home JT was making pancakes with his youth team which was great. He usually does savory ones first so he generally makes a huge vat of chilli. I had this with some rice and then a couple of sweet pancakes for a pudding.
On tuesday we both worked a half day as we were going to a house auction. After that we decided to pop to Nottingham to pick up the denby mugs which they didnt have in Derby. I also managed to pick up the rest of the beads i needed from hobbycraft. Im making my own napkin rings and rang out of beads. They had sold out twice in the Sheffield branch so it was good i was able to get them from Nottingham. On the way home we went out for tea at ChaCha's, its the Indian all you can eat buffet. Its usually about £8 each in a evening but someone gave us these vouchers so it was a £5 each plus a free drink each.
Last night JT was helping a friend with some DIY and as i had nothing planned i thought it was a great opportunity to get some housework done. I only managed to clean upstairs as i needed to sort out tea and also needed to watch ER that was taped on monday night. Excellent episode as usual.
Tonight we are having a relaxing evening in and then tomorrow night we are having tea at a couple from our cluster's house. They are then at a meeting at church and we are babysitting their 6 year old boy so that should be fun.
