George and Charlie are now nearly 6 months old and we are still totally besotted. You can see some pictures of them if you go to www.lesathompson.com. They have doubled in size though since those pics were added onto there.
Visitors week went really well. The four Danish men who stayed were lovely and on the Tuesday night 4 ladies from their party also joined us for tea. We were all able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine, food and company.
They left on the wedneday and that evening i had my book club. It was the second time i had been and although we are reading books i wouldnt normally read im really enjoying the social aspect of the evening. I didnt quite get to finish the book in time though but i have finished it now. We read 'Five quarters of the orange' by Joanne Harris incase any of you are interested.
That friday i organised for 9 women from my church cluster and myself to go and see Pride and Prejudice and the theatre. It was a local company production so the tickets were only £6 each. I had only ever seen the first half of the BBC version years ago but it was a brilliant night and everyone loved it. I have now also finished watching the BBC version and i thought it was so fantastic i was ready to start watching it again as soon as it finished. As ive been busy i had to watch it over a couple of weeks but it was worth the wait. I also want to keep calling Jono 'Mr Thompson' in a high pitch swalk lol
On the Monday we went to Spain again. Lots of things happened with that so i will do a seperate log for it.
We got back on the 24th and on the 25th it was our 2nd wedding anniversary. I cant believe its been 2 years already. Im loving married life though. :-)
We were planning on going out for a meal to celebrate but we had to stay in due to the awful floods we had in Sheffield. Our home didnt get effected as we are quite high up but so many people had to evacuate their homes and some still arnt back in them now. Even Meadowhall the huge indoor shopping complex got flooded and it only partly reopened yesturday as most of the downstairs stored got flooded out.
I didnt think i would be able to meet my dad in Buxton on the Tuesday but i did and it was really nice to spend the day with him.
