Im not going to bore you with what has happened since July as it will take too long as will probably bore the socks off you ha ha ha. Basically things have been good but really busy, new job etc, hense lack of posting on here.
Last Saturday we went to the Good Food Show in Birmingham it was really good and we went with some of Jono's friends. We had to get up at 5.45am as we had to get down to the tram for 7pm. I put my alarm on PM rather than AM so we didnt wake up till 6am. We managed to get the next tram though and still got to the station before the train to Brum arrived.
It was a long tiring day but it was good fun. For those who dont know what the Good Food show is... Basically loads and loads of different stalls try to get you to buy their goods and most of them let you try tasters of their food. You also get to see different people cooking food which is wonderful and there is also a drink section. You can either take your own glass or use one of their sampler glasses. A lot of people send to buy a wine glass there though as it comes with a little holder to put round your neck. Jono used his from last year so it was only me that needed one as i didnt have any wine last year.
Included in the ticket price is going into the super theatre and watching a famous chef cook something. We got the 6pm showing to see Gordan Ramsey. It was fantastic but im slightly bitter over a plate <blush> basically he gives things away during his performances including Royal Doulton plates etc. I got given one by one of his helpers but the lady infront of me grabbed it off me before i had chance to put my second hand on it to secure. I know its only a plate but i was(am) still a bit gutted.
The show over ran a bit so by the time Jono had collected the bags from 'shop & drop' we had missed the first train, which resulted in missing the train from Brum to Sheffield. I managed to get us onto the next train though without having to pay extra. They said lots of people tend to miss the connecting train when coming from the NEC as things over run. They were really helpful and a complete life (and money) saver. It did mean not being able to travel back with the others but it was nice just the two of us relaxing on the train after a busy day.
Once we got back to Sheffield we had to catch the tram to the car so we could then drive home. I was designated driver as i had only drank 1 glass of wine. Jono had gone with the lads to an Ale tasting session so although he wasnt drunk he had drank more than me.
We were due to go to a party after we got back to Sheffield but we didnt get home until about 10.30 and all we wanted to do was slob on the sofa and then go to bed.
Sunday morning i didnt wake up till 10.15 so Jono went to church without me. We then met up with some friends for lunch and then they came back to ours for a cuppa.
It was a tiring weekend but it was full of doing nice things so that was good.
Also it was very exiting once we got back on Saturday as i was able to give George & Charlie some treats from their Cat Advent calender hee hee
