Once i got to the hospital the pain was unbearable and i was literally screaming in pain. I told Jono that if labour was worse than this then we are definatly adopting. They finally found a vein to put morphien(spell) in my arm which although didnt take away the pain helped me relax a bit. They were about to do an ultrasound but i told them id had one on sunday so they checked that and found i had Gallstones. One of them had gone into my bile duct and blocked my pancreas, causing pancreatitis. My amalaise(spell) for you doctors etc was over 2000 which they said was really high.
I got moved to a different hospital at 3am as they specialise more in Gallbladders. Im glad they did as its also only about a 10min drive from my house which was better for Jono visiting.
My parents managed to get the dog into kennels and came up for a few days which was fantastic and really good to see them.
It got to the 23rd December and as i was eating a little bit and walking around i was convinced they were going to let me home. When they told me i would still be in on Christmas day i got really upset, but knew i was in the right place also. The other women in my room was lovely and Jono laughed when he found out we got told off the one night for keeping the other patients awake with our chatting <blush>
In the end they said i could go home for a couple of hours on Christmas day.
Jono went to church Christmas morning and got a couple of invites for Christmas lunch. Because of this i decided not to visit home until the afternoon so atleast Jono wouldnt have to cook and he would be able to have some company for half the day and then spend the other half with me. The hospital staff were really sweet on Christmas day. They brought all the patients presents. I got a boots gift set. They were even going round seeing if anyone wanted a glass of brandy. I decided to order a small Christmas lunch but was gutted when i realised Turkey with the trimmings didnt include veg, so i ended up with a small slice of turkey a tiny ball of stuffing and a tiny little sausage & bacon ha ha.
When i got home i got a cuddle off the cats and then we opened our presents. I hadnt had chance to wrap Jono's so he got all his in carrier bags. He didnt mind though. It was lovely being home but really wierd knowing i was only visiting and by 8.30 we left to go back to the hospital where i got back in my pjs and back into bed.
I finally was allowed home on the 28th.
Jono's parents came for boxing day and once Jono had fed them he came to the hospital with his mom which was really nice and i laughed when i found out his Grandad kept trying to shoot George with his walking stick.
On the 29th we were due to go to York to Jackie & Pete's wedding. We were absolutly gutted not to be able to go but realised that we had to cancel everything over Christmas and New Year as i wouldnt be well enough to travel. It has been great to see their pics though and they both looked stunning.
Right i think thats enough for one post and i still start January next time :-)
