Ive just completed my six shift out of seven and im so tired. I should have finished at 6pm tonight but didnt get home until after 8.30pm. We are having a store change around, but we arnt allowed to close the store, so its like a new store opening, but instead of having five day to do it and the shop being shut. Its two days and we have customers moving all the stuff we are trying to sort, plus the normal daily jobs like serving, paperwork, deliveries.... Basically its a nightmare. It doesnt help that on my first shift back, i had a meeting with my boss and apart from the usual work crap that happens, i found out that another store as had a armed robbery, that is about three now on our district. This time it was three men and they basically kicked the s**t out of the manager and while the one went with her to get the money, the other two basically let rip on the other two members of staff who were on. I hate the fact that on a morning shift i have to open up on my own and on a evening shift there is usually only two members of staff on duty. We do have security on the site, but i doubt any dodgy folk are going to walk into the store with their guns or knives on show for all to see, unless they really are that stupid. Anyway the only highlight so far, since being back is that one of the lads i interviewed for a job and i got him into another store, sent me a thankyou card for getting him the job. How sweet is that? as it was my first attempt at interviewing aswell.
Other news since last entry is that my folks have brought a new computer so i have their old one. So im the proud owner of my very own computer. It has saved me a fortune. It even has a new keyboard with it, seens as i was very clumsy the other night and managed to spill a whole glass of cherryade onto the keyboard, plus the cherryade splashed into the ashtray, so wet cigarette ash got lodged in between the keys also.oops.
Saturday evening it was my friend hannahs 30th birthday and she had a cocktail party at her house to celebrate. It was a fantastic evening and it was really nice to catch up with people, who i dont get to see that often. I also managed to consume a huge glass of baileys ... yum yum and i also had a cocktail of baileys, rum, malibu and milk... very yum.
Anyway one more long shift to go then im off for two days. Wednesday im off to the job centre to see whats available.
