First of all thanks for the comments wishing me well. They are much appreciated.

New Years Eve we had planned to have a few friends round for a meal, nothing major just a nice quiet evening with food and a couple of games etc. We had to make the decision to cancel as we wasnt sure how well i was going to be. In the end a couple of friends of ours invited us round for tea and then we left about 10.30 to spend the last bit of 2007 relaxing on the sofa.
2008 has been a bit of a strange one so far as i wasnt due back to my job till the 21st (the joys of working at the university) and couldnt get anything else with the agency as i wasnt sure when my operation to remove my Gallbladder was going to be. Its also been a bit of a pain as i wasnt sure, as im agency if they would want me back knowing i would have to be off between 2-5 weeks. I decided with my agency that we wouldnt ring my job until id had my pre op so we could then give them an idea of dates. My pre op was on the 15th. Work have been brilliant and were happy for me to go back on the 21st, have the time off i need and then go back once im better, which has been a huge relief and answer to prayer.
In total i was off for 5 and a half weeks. Most of the time i felt well enough to work so it was a bit of a pain that i couldnt. My house was kept lovely and tidy though and the cats enjoyed lots of sofa and bed time. (when we arnt in or once we are in bed they are only allowed to be in the kitchen and outside as they send to bring in lots of birds/mice/frogs dead or alive) The kitchen is big though and they even have some stairs to play on. It less hassle to only have one room to disinfect ha ha .
I also enjoyed lots of cheesy TV. I love Diagnosis murder (Dick Van Dyke reminds me facially of my old pastor from Walsall) and enjoyed the repeats of series 1 of Ugly Betty.
I havnt been able to do loads but its been nice to go out to some friends for a couple of meals and get to choir and church a couple of times. There has been loads of stuff we have had to cancel or say we cant go to though as we havnt been sure how well i would be or if i would be in hospital by that point.
I was pleased i managed to finally go swimming the other day though and have been getting some excercise going for some short walks and carrying the hoover up 2 flights of stairs (only on good days though)
The one good thing that came out of being in hospital is that i have lost just over a stone which is brilliant (not my ideal way of losing it though) but its nice to be back on track with the weight loss.
Jono has been an absolute star and even came to visit me twice a day in hospital. He has also been working really hard to has been shattered but still really supportive which is amazing.
