Thought my day off was going to be a pain in the bum, it started off with a text off my boss, yesturday i had to sort out someones pay, as for some reason, this wage packet, they didnt get paid. So i had to ring district office, then i had to ring payroll, then district office again. In the end i we realised that his first pay had gone in as it was on a temporary number but his real number had been put in wrong, so he had the same payroll number as the other new starter, so she got paid for the both of them. I then had to search through all the old payroll info to work out exactly how many he hours he needed to be paid for, then ring back district office with the information. lots of fun. Anyway that was what why my boss had rung. She then rang about 30mins later about a delivery from yesturday. Each time she rang i was sure it was to cover a shift as someone had phoned in sick. I always dread when the phone rings and its from work.

Anyway after that, the rest of the day was wonderful. I met up with one of my vicars for lunch and a chat today, which was really nice. After that i went shopping in town. I brought a carry case for my art stuff and some oil based crayons. A book which was based on the tv program the 1940's house, my nieces birthday present and a camping chair. I always seem to buy a bizarre mix of stuff when i shop. lol

I got home at the same time as my brother and co arrived. So spent a couple of hours with my two nieces. My nephew was at school. Caitlin is going to be 2 on sunday, so i frantically got her pressies wrapped up. So they could take them home. I say wrapped, it is a cuddly toy of 'bruce the shark' from 'finding nemo', so its a little trickey to wrap, so i got a pink gift bag with matching tissue. She went to watch the film with my brother the other day and she was more interested in Bruce, so i thought i was the perfect gift.

Oooh i nearly forgot, in another log entry a few weeks back i mentioned about buying magazines when they have a free gift. A couple of weeks ago i brought a cooking magazine as they were giving away a free set of wooden spoons or spatulas. I went for the spoons. There was a really posh woman in the queue with me, she saw the magazine i was buying and she left the queue to get a copy with the spatulas in. which made me laugh, but we did have a giggle about it, while we were waiting to be served. Today i popped into tescos and noticed there were tons of magazines with free gifts in them. I settled with buying 'Eve' as there was a free DVD with it. It was a choice of 'Me without you' or 'Relative values' i chose the later.

Tomorrow is my second day off for the week, so i plan to get my application forms done then, without fail.
