As i said in a previous log, im in charge at work this week, and its been absolutly manic. There seems to be so much to do. Tonight i was planning to go to housegroup but as i didnt get home from work until 7.30pm again i wasnt able to, which was really annoying. It as also been my responibility to sack someone this week. I couldnt get in contact with her by phone on monday afternoon, so i sent her a text to ask her to come as see me on the tuesday. I know she received the text as the report delivered to my phone that evening. She never bothered getting back to me and she was due in for a shift tonight. Fortunatly i have covered her shifts for this week, as she didnt even bother to turn up. Its a shame as she was a nice enough girl and when she bothered to turn up for shifts, which wasnt often, she was a really good worker.
Anyway ive just got to work friday and saturday night, and next monday day, then im off for the rest of the week. Im working the monday so i can have a mini meeting with my boss to recap on whats happened in the week, but then i get the following monday off, plus my normal two days. so a four day week, the following week, which is a bonus.
I was planning to start my driving lessons on the wednesday, but i still cant find my provisional licence. A new one should cost me £29 but as i still have my licence number on a old drving lesson card, i am able to buy a replacement one for £17. It as saved me some money, but means i have to wait for the new one to arrive before i can start my lessons.
