Last night i went to housegroup, it was really nice to be able to make it. It was all about serving God and learning about our gifts. We had a questionaire to fill out, that helps you work out, things you are good at. For the first time ever, leadership was one of my strengths, which was good to know. Other strong areas were serving, encouraging and mercy. I wasnt shocked to find that preaching and teaching didnt get high scores. I have only ever preached once and that was a bit of a jokey one at a youth service about how as christians we can be like boiled eggs. I may share it with you in a later entry.

Today i didnt have much planned. My brother and two nieces came round about 5pm so that was lovely to spend a couple of hours with them. It was then a mad rush to get showered and to the train station to get to the Brum meet this evening. Unfortunatly i had missed the 7.30 train, but then found out it had never turned up anyway. I then waited for the 8pm train and that finally turned up at 8.15. The only bonus was that i got to chat to a rather lovely bloke while we were waiting for our trains. He got on his train first and i thought i was going to be going one way, only to find that it came past me again at the station and he was there sitting in his seat looking over and waved over at me. Only a 'brief and nothing major happened encounter', but its the nearest ive got to something happening with a bloke in months, so i was happy. Its all good for the confidence. I was even wearing my new multicoloured woolly hat, so a double bonus hee hee

It was a good meet and it was good to catch up with folks. I was even impressed that the baileys was only £2 for a double, so a excellent night all round.

Tomorrow im off to another meet in Durham, and then a load of us will all be staying at a shipmates house in Stockton, so another great evening to look forward to.
