Busy day at work today but i wont bore you with that. Got home from work just after 6pm. I cant remember the last time i actually got home before 5.30 never mind 6pm. The stupid thing is i only live a 10ish minute drive from work, so its very annoying that it takes me about an hour from when i leave the shop to get home. Anyway i was home for about 30mins and i heard a knock at the window. My brother had arrived with my two year old niece. She really is so cute. She showed me her new trainers, then insisted she went upstairs. She as a fasination for stickers and remembered that i have a small drawer in my room full of different kinds of stickers. I got them from a fantastic shop "the Works" its brilliant for books, art stuff, kids stuff etc. and they are all at bargain prices. For £3 i got this huge set of stickers. There are numbers, animals, sea shells, roadsigns. practically everything you can think of, and she insists that whatever im wearing needs atleast 10 stickers on it to make it look better. hee hee
After they left i decided that as i now have my train ticket booked for my interview, i really need to sort out my hotel. I love Late rooms.com. Why anyone would go to a normal hotel website to make a booking is beyond me. I have found out that i can get to my interview in about 10 minutes on the tube if i leave from paddington. The station also has facilities to look after my suitcase, so i have booked a hotel room in paddington. £39 and i have my own room, with satelite tv plus my own bathroom. perfect. It also means i dont have to get up till about 9am on the day of the interview. Which is also a bonus. So my train is booked, my hotel is booked, now all i have to think about is what to wear. Do i still wear my smart trouser suit for a interview for a youth work job? or do i just wear my smart tailored trousers with a nice top?
I dont want to look like a business woman but i also want to show them that im taking the interview serious and want to look smart. I am leaning towards the trousers and top idea, but that is purely so i dont have to buy something to put my suit jacket in to keep it from creasing, on the train journey. It also means i have one less thing to carry, which is always good. Anyway this is the last time im going to mention my interview until closer to the date as i dont want to become a 'ive got a interview' bore in my diary.
nite all
