I use RSS every day throught Bloglines. But the best thing about it is that the technology doesn't matter, I just get the latest articles from the feeds I am subscribed to delivered to my browser whenever I log in. Fantastic.
And with so many uses of RSS, is it any wonder that this is one of the hottest areas on the internet now. Imagine having a newspaper delivered to your lap every time you want something to read, that contains exactly what you want to read, and even the boring bits can be easily skipped.
So what about the future? Who knows...
