The eminently geeky chaps at ForeverGeek.com are one of the voices I listen to. So it's expecially exciting to hear them say things like this:
Soon we will not need any applications on our computer. Just our data, and a connection to the Internet. Exciting times.
Exciting times indeed. Although I think we've a long way to go. And of course what we need is a super-fast broadband connection.
