OK. Party strategy referred to earlier on in this blog just isn't working. My boss's leaving do last night. Having spent all day compiling his "front page" (a tradition for leaving journalists) and folding little booklets for his do, I had forgotten how horrid he can be. It was a ghastly evening.
When I went up to him to say goodbye, all he could say was "You're still here are you?" and then he just turned away from me. Which is clearly all I get for trying to please him for six years like a slightly pathetic puppy. What a waste. Parties full of potential Tory leaders, cabinet ministers and the glitterati of the media world are not the place to get upset about these things - but I couldn't help it. My eyes change colour when I cry (hazel to green). I hope not too many people noticed.
I don't think I'm tough enough to do this job. Everyone else seems to cope fine.
