Turkish baths

The six of us Oxbridge types who convened at the Turkish Baths in Ironmonger Row last night would have been horrified, ten years ago, to be told that we would so actively enjoy sitting in an all-female environment swapping knitting tips.
But it was a superb evening. Never been before, but the baths are on the edge of the City - on men's evenings I should imagine they are full of traders, rather than the bathroomless masses they were created for. Women's evening though are a gentle affair. Gossiping locals talking about their christmases, the six of us giggling away about various friends' love lives.
All in all very relaxing.

My father-in-law has just been taken to a hospice. I think that's it. I'm terribly sad. And I'm trying REALLY REALLY hard not to mind about our holiday. But I do... terribly. And then I'm sad about being such an awful person. Vicious circle really.
