And now for something stoatally different

Our cat has learned to watch tv. He has only paid attention to it once before, when he became abnormally interested in Jo Brand's breasts when she was being fitted for a bra in What Not To Wear (I dread to think what sort of google hits that will turn up). But last night, my husband was watching a programme about stoats while he was doing the ironing - and the cat decided he'd like to watch too.
Watching, for the cat, is somewhat interactive. He sat very, very close to the telly (he'll get square eyes if he's not careful) and occasionally put both his front paws on the screen when things got extra exciting. He also spent some quality time looking for stoats at the back of the TV and was very disappointed, and vocal, when he couldn't find any. Poor little kitty.

In other news, Mr Fishsoup has taken to wearing a cardigan. It's a very trendy one, from Zara, which I feel is mitigating, but I'm not sure how well this augurs for his future sartorial elegance. And I'm very stressed, for reasons I can't really blog about - just trying to help someone out, but it's complicated. I'm WAY out of my depth here, and I seem to have forgotten how to tread water.
