Last night, he really did. I was in a filthy mood (sorry guys) and it was wonderful to walk into an atmosphere where people were friendly and supportive and there was cake. No outside speaker, no difficult questions - an hour of chat and about 45 minutes of praying together in small groups. It was really great (just deleted nice, because I know I'll get told off) to share the different experiences we'd had in the week with people I knew would be totally supportive. Love you all (and thanks for not minding the vibrator story).
Have you ever noticed, though, that when you pray out loud in small groups sometimes people say "mmm, yes lord, mmm" a lot while you are praying. It struck me this week that it was a little bit like praying in a cow shed. Next time I shall have to try really hard not to moo deliberately.
