I thought I was being SO organised, ordering my gran's Christmas present in advance. (don't worry, she doesn't read my blog). A jigsaw using an aerial photo of her village seemed like the perfect present (ok, most people's idea of hell, but grandma is different and loves jigsaws and personalised stuff). It arrived at the weekend and I was so pleased with myself when I'd got it. And then I got a call from my usually chaotic sister.
"Just to let you know," she says chirpily. "I've ordered grandma's present......"
The rest of the conversation, I can leave you to guess. So you know, the jigsaws are not exactly the same - hers is a map and mine is a photo, but they are strikingly similar. WHY, o WHY, did I not tell her in advance. Useless, I am. Bother.
