Apart from my iPod, which is wonderful, obviously. I now have two mobile phones, because I have to have one with Bluetooth to connect to a laptop I don't want so I can file stories from almost anywhere. What's next? A satellite phone? A bulletproof jacket? I'm a financial journalist. There are usually a few computers around where I am.
Then there's the hiking socks I bought the other days from Blacks. I just wanted some socks that meant my feet aren't cut to ribbons in my boots - but I had to choose from Lightweight, Everyday, Liner, and about six other types. I just wanted socks. And then they were two for the price of one and I couldn't decide whether i wanted two pairs of the same or not...I never knew footwear could be so confusing
