making miracles

I often feel that preparing for alt.worship is a little bit like being a primary school teacher. Last night we "made miracles" for Graceland on Sunday night - a Powerpoint presentation to run as a meditation against U2's new track Miracle Drug.
We used the husband's digital camera to make some of them - I'm particularly pleased with the picture of a jug of water being poured into a carafe of... well.. frankly it's ribena but you can't tell. Also the picture of some sardines and some bread for feeding the five thousands. All the delivery from demons stuff was difficult though - we found a lovely picture of a sculpture of a face breaking through a cracked wall which was suitably freeing. Then we found a picture of a waterboatman for Jesus walking on the water.
There's still so much to do... a miracles press cutting board to prepare (what the press describes as a miracle can be very interesting) and a selection of "miracle cards" for people to draw out of a basket and use as prayer aids. It's all very labour intensive, but hopefully it will be worth it. It's hard work running alt.worship as part of church like ours, you feel quite unsupported, because EVERYONE wants to come, but noone wants to make it happen. I'd love to be part of something trendy and cutting edge instead - but this is right, I think pray and hope. Let's hope it works.
