I'm not very good at text messages, although I use them a lot, so I've never really known how to turn off my predictive text. That means that, every time I need to use a word that isn't in the dictionary, I have to add it - whether I am likely to use it again or not.
This has produced a bizarre phenomenon whereby my phone thinks I mean the word "marching", when I start typing the word ok, and the word "jacobean" when I try and type just about anything. Recently I have become more choosy - managing to keep some words out of my text message dictionary. Words I have added in the last few months include "bless" (so far so good), "skiing" (I wish, this year), "recussitate" (after our trip to hospital two weeks ago), and "oncologist" (ditto). Even more worryingly added are "therapist" (not for me!), and "g*t" (frankly the only description of a certain friend's ex-boyfriend). Says a lot about my priorities at the moment, or just who I'm texting.
The breadmaking went FANTASTICALLY last night. I was really pleased. My singing lesson was cancelled so I could go, and they all got really into making their bread rolls for communion - and when I brought them down at the end of the service so they could take them, they were so excited. My personal favourite bit was when my husband picked up a roll and said "and Jesus took bread..." and then looked momentarily distracted and said "but it probably wasn't shaped like a hedgehog"....It was a lovely communion time.
