I GOT IT! How's that for scary?
For those of you who don't know what I mean, and that is most of you... I'm moving from the finance and business desk of our newspaper to the newsdesk .... wow, proper breaking news! It means late nights, sunday working (i do some anyway) and the opportunity for excitement, travel and a bit of a change. After six years i THINK I'm ready. But it's a scary step - business has been almost a cushion to the big wide world of journalism, and I've so many friends in our little satellite office. I haven't told people yet... and I was looking round the office yesterday and my lip was trembling - i thought i was going to cry. What's going to happen when I actually do leave?
