I remember MOST of last night

Our newspaper was 150 years old yesterday - and held a big party to celebrate. I am so stressed about my new job and the attendant changes that go with it (there have been big announcements since that some people think render it invalid, but I have had assurance that this is not the case) that I forgot the cardinal rule of such events, which is NOT to drink.
So, I had a discussion with the features editor about cleaning mirrors with vinegar, and nearly talked myself into writing a knitting column before being forced to admit that I can't knit (hey that rhymes). It was a weird party. I am not very good at recognising politicians and know half our staff only by their photo bylines, so I was forever marching up to people and not knowing who they were, or thinking I did. David Blunkett and John Redwood were there, which was quite odd.
And then three of us went to a bar and the others drank wine and I drank tea and then fell asleep at the table. And later - oh wibsite, I struggle to admit this - i was sick. For the first time ever after drinking. I am SO embarassed.
Don't feel very well this morning, and I had to get up at 7am to cook pudding for the people who are coming this evening. Doh!

Looking forward to putting the WISE package together, but I can't think of any clues right now, so you'll have to remain none the WISEr
