T & E asked questions:

-Why do you have to write a set number of words?
The course specification says that the essay for the course has a maximum word limit

-What happens if you go over - do the Word Police come knocking?
The Word Police not only comes knocking, but if you go more than 5% over the word limit they deduct 5% from the essay mark. Sadly I am not of sufficient genius level to get away with having 5% deducted so I take care to stay within the limit.

-Has anyone else wondered what will happen when we use up the world's supply of letters?
Wld prob nd up spkng n wrtng lyk ths.
I may inadvertently have discovered why texting language has developed in this way. Could it be that letters are already rationed and the youth of today has had limits imposed on them? I regret to say that I take a certain smug pride in using both correct spelling and punctuation when texting. Just think what I am doing to the world's resources. As for blogging... how self-indulgent is that?
