Mundanity, or should that be Sundanity?

I was rather surprised to see that I had already blogged today, but then realised that it was not really today, just the tale end of yesterday being clever and calling itself today. I may have stayed up a bit later than I intended. Yay has been considering the question of staying up late and getting up late too.

So, Sunday happened. The new church was once again very welcoming, and quite a few people realised I had been before. I may have confused one old lady in replying to her query by saying that I didn't think they would be reading my banns today since I had been married for two years already. I wrote a bit about something churchy that is annoying me, but I am not sure if this is the place to think it through. I may return to the subject.

This afternoon I half-watched the Grand Prix and cheered mightily that Michael Schumacher's luck has finally run out. Not that I particularly care what happens this season, but the number of times that a driver I have been supporting has been beaten because of an engine failure must be huge. Still haven't worked out whether to be loyal to Raikonnen or McLaren next year. Can I really see myself as a Ferrari supporter? Perhaps I will support Jenson Button instead.

This evening was a bit of a culinary disappointment. My steak and kidney pie was not up to standard - used too much guiness and not enough stock I reckon. Also, the sauce didn't have time to stand overnight. I ended up using butter instead of marge for the pastry - sooooo rich. Mr Farli reckoned it was the best bit. The roasted beetroot was not so popular. It looks like I am going to have to eat 3 enormous beetroots by myself in the next couple of days. They were a gift from my friend Sarah's garden and I reckon they taste fantastic. Various parts of the kitchen are, however, looking a little pink.
