Just settling in for a nice evening of listening to dreadful music and kitsch costumes.
While waiting for the thing to begin, Terry Wogan mentions that last year's winner comes from the same place as Santa Claus. Presumably he means Rovaniemi. He then follows this by telling all the toddlers who may be watching that he ate one of Santa's reindeer yesterday... and it tasted lovely.
Do you think that maybe he started on the Bailey's a touch too early this year?

Ooh fur pants, an accordian and nearly naked men jumping into icy water. Finland seems to have a suitably surreal way of introducing songs.
