How did it get to Sunday?

This post will probably not be of interest to many people, with the possible exception of Maddie, Yay, and any other Brent-Dyer fans.

I'm not entirely sure where the week went to. Anyway, it is Sunday and my last day of the holidays before I have to go and be welcoming at college. This week has been mostly spent sitting with the kittens, knitting and/or reading Chalet School Books. I'm up to one of my favourites, I think from the first or second batch that my Gran found for me: The New Mistress at the Chalet School. I'm finding the books a little monotonous this time through, but I have read nearly 40 of them in the last four months.

I discovered a new and startling sub-plot in the previous two books: Chalet School and time travel. During A Genius ATCS, Nina Rutherford goes to visit Joey at Freudesheim and is taken upstairs to be introduced to Cecil, who is three months old. Cecil, however is only born during TCS Fete, which occurs after Genius. Do the Maynards have a time portal in the nursery? I think we should be told. I'm guessing this stems from these two books originally being 1 and some chapters being moved about. All good fun. I'm off back to find out whether Kathie Ferrars will ever get to like Mary-Lou and what Inter-V will get up to next.
