Awake long before the dawn

For some unknown reason, I was wide awake at 5.30am this morning. I tried to doze or at least keep resting for a while, then finally got up at half 6. Adding an extra hour or so to the day was really nice, and meant that I fulfilled a long-standing ambition of mine: to get to a 7.45am Friday service at least once in my college career.

Now I am feeling very tired so I am going to go home, despite having not picked all the hymns for a week on Thursday. They can wait until Monday I think.

This evening looks like being a time to catch up on Heroes and Studio 60, both videoed from earlier in the week when I was very busy. Hard life, no?
