I've been trying out the new BBC iPlayer. So exciting that it actually works on my Linux box with no fuss whatsoever, even the watch-again stuff.
While testing it, I have been reacquainting myself with BBC7. It is a funny radio station - don't think I have ever listened live, but I used to listen to the serialized detective stories when I was doing a mindless admin job. This week there is a four part adaptation of Mort which is rather good and I am currently listening to Dave Gorman's Genius, a repeat from 2005.
Talking of Dave Gorman, I managed to find a DVD copy of his Are you Dave Gorman? for Mr F for Christmas. The dead-pan serious fixation on the graph appeals to my mathematical side, while the sheer dedication to the task in hand fills me with wonder and joy on many levels.
