Who would have thought there'd be repercussions to not paying bills? We let our Telstra bill go unpaid for one week past the due date and they cut off both our mobile phones. I'll give them one thing: they know how to instigate action. We both depend on our mobiles for business, so I was ringing them up quick smart to make the payment. But only a week overdue - a bit harsh I reckon.
Once I got past the annoyance it was actually kind of amusing. I needed to ring Elicia to see what was going on, and I couldn't use my mobile. Then even when I got home, her mobile's cut off too so I couldn't ring from home, couldn't even leave a message on messagebank or send an sms, both also disabled. It was Very Frustrating (although I can see now maybe it was a good thing I didn't talk to her, I was sort of irate for a couple of minutes there). That is what it must have been like in the dark ages - we're talking before everyone had a mobile - maybe ten years ago. How did we cope?
