I got an email from the estate agent saying that we really should sign the contract and pay a deposit or the vendor is likely to put the unit back on the market. But when I rang our solicitor yesterday, he said that we really have to wait until the finance guys have talked to my parents on Thursday, then find out from them a suitable timeframe. I emailed the agent with this info, but I haven't heard back from her yet. Aaargh!
